God’s Word is the Sieve for Our Thoughts!

Overcoming negativity with positive affirmations
Every emotion, every thought — filter it through the Word. What aligns with truth stays. What doesn’t? Release it. Because discernment starts where Scripture meets the soul.

There isn’t a believer alive who doesn’t battle thoughts and feelings that stray from truth.
We feel fear when God says, “Do not be afraid.”
We hold bitterness when He calls us to forgive.
We worry about tomorrow, even though He tells us to trust.

That’s the tension of being human — flesh and spirit coexisting.

But God, in His mercy, gave us a filter — His Word.
Scripture is the sieve through which we separate what’s true from what’s false, what’s holy from what’s harmful.
When we run our emotions and beliefs through it, everything that doesn’t align with truth, goodness, or nobility falls away.

“Whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right… think on these things.” – Philippians 4:8

So the next time your heart feels heavy or your thoughts spiral, ask:

“Does this align with God’s Word?”
“Would this make it through the sieve of Scripture?”

If not — you don’t have to hold onto it.
Let His truth be the filter that frees you.
